Contact Lenses

Eyes On has a wide range of contact lenses and will almost certainly have a lens type to suit you.

We supply any type of contact lens to suit your needs:

• Conventional Contact Lense
• Disposable Contact Lenses
• Coloured Contact Lenses
• Lenses that you can "sleep" in
• Multifocal Contact Lenses

Conventional Contact Lenses

These lenses are custom made to suit your exact eye shape and are usually replaced annually.

The lenses will be either:

• Spherical Lenses- for an eye that is regular in shape
• Toric Lenses-for an eye that has astigmaitism

The lenses can be made in different materials and will be either:

• Soft Lenses: These lenses are made of a combination of a soft plastic material and water. The water content of the lens will be advised depending on your prescription.
• Hard lenses: These are rigid, gas permeable lenses that are also made of a special plastic material. The type of material used will also be advised depending on your prescription

Coloured Contact Lenses

For those of you feeling a little adventurous, it is possible to change the colour of your eyes with ease. Brown eyes can be made blue, blue eyes green. There is violet and hazel, in fact almost any colour to suit your desires.

Lenses that you can "sleep" in

With a great deal of research, and the innovation of a new lens material, there are now contact lenses available that can be left in the eyes for up to one month. These lenses have enhanced oxygen transfer ability, and are now approved as safe to 'sleep in.' They are fantastic for those with busy lifestyles, those who travel a great deal and do not want the burden of contact lens cleaning whilst away. They are an excellent choice for those camping or trekking, where the conditions for cleaning the contacts may be less than optimum. The improved oxygen permeability also makes the lens as excellent lens choice for those having problems with their standard lenses.

Multifocal Contact Lenses

For those of you who have reached your more mature years, bifocal or multifocal contact lenses could be the answer. These unique lenses work on 'simultaneous vision.' This means that they allow the eye to see what it concentrates on, whether it be in the distance or up close. If you are tired of reading glasses coming on and off, and not happy with the limitations of multifocal glasses, why not try multifocal contact lenses.
